Kevin Brown
Kevin Brown is the Founder and Principal of Regalia Worldwide, a strategy and communications consultancy for labor unions, advocacy groups, and nonprofits. He brings more than 15 years of experience building organizational capacity, leading contract negotiations, and shaping national communications strategy for organizations representing hundreds of thousands of workers.
Most recently, Kevin founded and led the Member Action & Resource Center (MRC) at UNAC/UHCP, a multi-channel support hub serving 40,000 registered nurses and healthcare workers across California. Under his direction, the center has become a model for real-time member engagement — including fundraising efforts that raised more than $200,000 for members affected by wildfires in Maui and across California.
Before UNAC/UHCP, Kevin spent nearly a decade at AFSCME International, where he held roles spanning field organizing, communications, and political and legislative advocacy — including union trusteeships, chairing bargaining teams, and directing communications strategy for campaigns reaching workers across 14 states. His path to the labor movement began in strategic communications, managing national ad campaigns at Zimmerman Advertising and leading social-impact media campaigns earlier in his career.
Kevin holds a degree in Communications from Arcadia University and completed Harvard University’s Leadership, Organizing, and Action program. He also co-founded Protagonist Black, an independent bookstore rooted in literacy, community, and liberation.

Why this work
Kevin founded Regalia Worldwide on a simple premise: interest in organizing and giving is at historic highs, but interest alone doesn’t win contracts, elections, or campaigns — strategy does. Every engagement draws on the same combination of skills built over a career spent on both sides of the table: the discipline of labor relations and the craft of brand-level communications.
